To enable or disable Dma for Ide devices in windows xp


Go to>Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager.

Look for Ide Atapi Controllers>Double Click to see Primary and secondary channels.
Doubleclick on preferred channel>Advanced settings.You can now see the settings of
each channnel and make changes if required.
